《逻辑、认知与数学哲学》交叉学科研讨会顺利举行

4月29日至5月3日,在清华三亚国际数学论坛(TSIMF)举行了“逻辑、认知与数学哲学”交叉学科研讨会。此次研讨会由清华大学逻辑学研究中心与上海数学与交叉科学研究院(SIMIS)联合主办,旨在聚集逻辑、哲学、数学和认知科学领域的专家学者,共同探讨学科交叉的前沿话题。 研讨会历时三天,每天上午举行专题报告,下午则分组进行针对性讨论。会议涉及模态逻辑、数学哲学以及逻辑与认知科学、博弈论、图论、域理论等领域的交叉。 4月30日上午的议程包括快速会晤环节和两场报告。在快速会晤环节,与会者介绍自己的研究背景和兴趣,为深入的跨学科交流做准备。第一场报告由清华大学哲学系石辰威博士主讲“模态逻辑”,第二场报告由美国得克萨斯大学休斯顿健康科学中心健康数据科学与人工智能系的张国强教授以线上形式主讲“时态组合逻辑”。下午的小组讨论分别是由清华大学金岳霖教授、新西兰奥克兰大学教授谢立民(Jeremy Seligman)主导的“数独解题思路的洞见”、中国政法大学哲学系付小轩博士主导的“偏好逻辑研究”、以及中国科学院哲学研究所和中国科学院大学人文学院副教授李大柱主导的“分体论研究”。 5月1日上午举行了两场报告,上海数学与交叉科学研究院教授、美国密歇根大学安娜堡分校心理学系与统计学系教授张俊主讲“论闭包算子”、闽南师范大学数学与统计学院的孙文博士主讲“论知识空间”。下午的小组讨论分别是由张俊教授主导的“邻域语义学与认知科学”,和由高万霆(Valentin Goranko)与刘奋荣主导的“逻辑、图论与博弈论”。 5月2日上午举行了三场报告,北京雁栖湖应用数学研究院教授吴杰主讲“超图的嵌入同调”、武汉大学哲学学院副研究员谢凯博主讲“论因果推理的逻辑”、华东师范大学软件学院教授陈仪香主讲“稳定域的逻辑进路”。下午的小组讨论主要围绕因果推理、域理论的最新进展、拓扑语义等问题展开。 此次会议邀请来自美国、瑞典、新西兰等国家和地区的专家学者以及国内高校和科研机构的师生近20人参会。与会者充分发挥自己的专业特长,就交叉学科的前沿研究问题展开了热烈而深刻的讨论,有效促进了交叉学科研究的深入发展。 鸣谢:本次研讨会得到了清华三亚国际数学论坛领导及管理团队的大力支持。与会者对负责后勤保障的叶莉女士表示特别感谢。 撰稿人:王威 Announcement: IMIS-TSIMF INTERDISCIPLINARY SERIES: International Workshop on Logic, Cognition, and Philosophy of Mathematics

2024丘成桐国际中学生数学夏令营报名通知

        “2024丘成桐国际中学生数学夏令营” (以下简称“夏令营”)定于2024年7月19日至8月21日举行。本次夏令营由上海数学与交叉学科研究院和复旦大学共同举办。“丘成桐中学生数学夏令营”自2014年暑期开始,已成功举办10届。         夏令营面向喜欢数学、对数学有热忱且具备一定基础能力的学生。旨在让学生了解近代数学的样貌,接触现代的数学研究。主要招收对象是全国各地的优秀中学生。期望这些有潜力的学生能够通过夏令营的启发,在未来能够投身数学科学研究,以达到培养新一代年轻数学科学研究人才的目标。         夏令营提供为期五周左右的数学课程。这些课程内容包含现代数学科学研究必备的工具与应用。夏令营不仅限于制式化的课堂学习,某些课程还搭配专题研究,并鼓励学生在夏令营做专题报告发表自己的研究成果。夏令营期间每天下午开设习题课,由助教带领学生做习题、讨论、演练或是讨论专题研究内容。此外,我们计划邀请世界一流的数学家到夏令营做学术报告,让学生能够了解现代数学研究的方向与成果。 一、夏令营招收对象         本次夏令营拟招收国际及国内中学生约150名学生,共同参加夏令营课程及相关活动。         参加本次夏令营的中学生应具备下列条件: 二、夏令营报名方式及时间         所有报名的学生请于2024年5月21日(截止到当天24:00)期间登录报名网址:https://mathcamp.simis.cn,注册并登录后按要求准确完整地填写报名信息。         请按照以下要求网上填写并提交报名材料,未按要求填写并提交者视为无效申请。 三、夏令营营员选拔方式         学生申请材料由专家小组进行审核,审核通过者获得营员资格,请于2024年5月下旬在报名平台查询结果(具体时间另行通知)。 四、其他         今年夏令营将设置5名最佳项目奖(BPA)。在夏令营期间完成指导老师课题项目的营员都可以竞争这个奖项。在每堂课上完成研究报告后,我们将选出一些优秀的项目进入最后一轮比选。BPA获奖者将获得6000元人民币奖金和由丘成桐教授签名的获奖证书。         本届夏令营在上海市数学与交叉学科研究院、复旦大学举办。本次入选夏令营的中国籍学生免收学费,交通及住宿费自理。预计收取住宿费100元/天。外籍学生学费及奖学金(上海市政府留学生专项奖学金)内容参考英文通知。具体安排请及时查收邮件与夏令营网站(邮箱务必准确填写,后续接收相关通知)。 联系方式:021-65660296邮箱:2024mathcamp@simis.cn电话:(工作日,周一至周五14:00-16:00) 上海数学与交叉学科研究院2024年4月17日
