SIMIS Seminar on Algebraic Geometry: Variation of archimedean zeta function and n/d-conjecture for generic multiplicities

Speaker: Quan Shi (Tsinghua University)

Abstract: b-function is one of the most important invariant in the D-module theory, whose roots are very difficult to determine. In this talk, I will review a classical strategy using archimedean zeta function and provide a way to variate the powers. As an application, n/d-conjecture is proven for generic multiplicities.
