The funding ceremony of the Shanghai Institute of Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences was held in the new building of the Institute on January 2, 2024, and was jointly unveiled by Mayor Zheng Gong and Professor Shing-Tung Yau. At the unveiling ceremony, the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Yangpu District Government, and Fudan University had signed co-construction agreements with the Institute.
