BIO

Dr. Liu graduated from NYU with his PhD degree. Probability theory goes through his research interests, but he is also driven by the hidden connections from the probability theory to other disciplines, as well as the mathematical principles/laws behind many exciting works in other fields of applied research such as in physics, AI and OR etc, for which his aim is the solutions or theory on the fundamental level to understand the observed phenomenon in the research of applied sciences, by leveraging the tools including the (broad) probability theory, stochastic processes, and methods of global analysis on manifolds.
