Abstract: A couple of years ago, four brave physicists Agarwal, Gang, Lee and Romo, based on never-seen computations of supersymmetric field theories, conjectured the existence of a quantum trace map from the skein module of a 3-manifold to a suitable module of q-commuting operators. We will talk about the resolution of this conjecture, and its applications in the 3d-index. Joint work with Tao Yu: 2403.12424, 2406.04918.
