SIMIS Seminar on Derived and Noncommutative Geometry: Deformation theory, Fukaya’s conjecture and the Gross-Siebert program

Abstract: We will revisit the reconstruction problem of a mirror manifold X from a Lagrangian fibration $\check{X} \rightarrow B$ over the SYZ base $B$. We will begin with Fukaya’s conjectural construction using holomorphic disks over tropical trees in $B$ and connect it to the well-known Gross-Siebert construction through a dgLa approach. Time permitting, we will delve into ongoing work that explores how this dgLa approach can link quantum scattering diagrams on $B$ with deformation quantization. This talk is based on joint work with Kwokwai Chan and Naichung Conan Leung.
