Abstract: In this talk, we delve into nonlinear eigenvalue problems with a focus on their limiting behaviors, particularly the ground states of the nonlinear Dirac equation. We derive the limiting problems via nonrelativistic approximations and further simplify these by examining their connections to random graphs. Our methodology, which combines variational techniques and combinatorial analysis, aims to develop an existence theory that encompasses relativistic effects, exploring the relationship between the Relativistic Density Functional Theory and its nonrelativistic version.
