Abstract: In this talk, I will discuss the instanton partition function for five-dimensional N=1 SO(N) gauge theories whose Type IIB brane configuration (5-brane web) involves either an O5 plane or an O7 plane. By employing the topological vertex formalism, one can compute the partition function when the corresponding brane configuration is known. In the case of an O5 plane, there is a systematic method of applying the topological vertex formalism has been developed. This introduces a new type of vertex called the O-vertex. In contrast, the formulation of the topological vertex for an O7+ plane still remains an open question. We revisit the O-vertex associated with an O5 plane and rewrite the partition function obtained from the O-vertex in terms of Nekrasov factors summed over Young diagrams. Based on this, we propose a topological vertex for a 5-brane web with an O7+ plane.
