Formation Mechanisms and Prediction of East Asian Climate Variability

Speaker: Dr. Bo Wu
Time & Date: 2:30-3:30pm, Mar 20
Location: Room 1210

Abstract: This report will explore the formation of interannual climate variability in the East Asian region, with a particular focus on how the El Niño phenomenon influences the East Asian monsoon system and their interaction mechanisms. Additionally, we will discuss the main approaches to climate prediction and examine the mathematical challenges involved.
