Computational Biology and Computational Medicine

Director: Rongling Wu

Professor Wu is vice president and a PI of Beijing Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Applications, Zeng Siming chair professor at Yau Mathematical Science Center of Tsinghua University, fellow of the American Statistical Association, fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, national distinguished expert, and Beijing science and technology strategic talent. He had Introduced mathematical models into the framework of biological trait gene mapping and the functional mapping theory, which have become important research tools in modern statistical genomics. After joining Shing-Tung Yau’s research team, he combined functional mapping with evolutionary game theory and graph theory to create a new paradigm of functional graph theory, which was systematically introduced by the top journal Physics Reports. He has published four monographs in Springer, CRC/Chapman Hall, and Elsevier Press, and nearly 500 papers in important academic journals such as Nature Reviews Genetics.
