Course Description: This course is an introduction to various aspects of branes and gauge theories. We hope to provide a knowledge background for doing research on supersymmetric gauge theories through branes. Some computation techniques will also be discussed. We assume the audiences have already learned Maxwell’s theory of undergraduate level or are learning quantum field theory and string theory, but it is not very necessary. The references are famous papers on each topic and will be mentioned on each lecture. This course will be taught in either Chinese or English, depending on audiences.
