Mathematics All level Positions: Postdoctoral, Assistant, Associate, Full Professor


The Shanghai Institute for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences (SIMIS) is a newly established research center, located in the Yangpu District of Shanghai. In partnership with Fudan University, the Institute‘s primary missions are to attract world class researchers from abroad, and to develop exceptional talents domestically in interdisciplinary research in advanced mathematical and information sciences.

The institute is seeking outstanding mathematicians for a multitude of new positions, including postdoctoral, assistant, associate, as well as full professor positions. Salaries and benefits are very competitive.

Candidates will have a PhD in mathematics or mathematical sciences, with exceptional track record in research. A member of the research faculty at the new institute will be expected to contribute significantly to the missions of the new institute, and to interact with members of the local scientific community. They are also expected to help train undergraduate and graduate students at affiliated universities in Shanghai, by conducting advanced courses and research seminars, and by organizing workshops and conferences.

  5. Functional Analysis and Dynamical Systems

  9. Digital Economy and Digital
  10. Artificial Intelligence

Applicants are required to specify up to 3 research groups they wish to join in their cover letter, ranked by order of priority.
