Abstract:

The seminar covers Andr´e’s celebrated work [And04] on the p-curvature conjecture. The
conjecture is a profound statement on the arithmetic (i.e. the reduction modulo a varying prime number p) of complex linear differential equations. It is still wide open beyond the cases covered by Andre. In this talk, our goal is to introduce the analytic number theory fundamentals re-
lated to arithmetic statements such as the p-curvature conjecture, essentially Chebotarev
theorem. We give a self-sufficient full presentation of the latter, following [SHWL].
