Abstract:
In this lecture, I will present the classification theorem of simple projectionless C*-algebras. This is a joint work with Huaxin Lin.
About Speaker:
Gong Guihua is a Professor at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and a leading scholar in operator algebras and noncommutative geometry. His research focuses on the classification of C*-algebras, the strong Novikov conjecture, and the coarse geometric Novikov conjecture. His significant work has been published in top-tier mathematical journals including Annals of Mathematics, Inventiones Mathematicae, Crelle’s Journal, Duke Mathematical Journal, and Geometric and Functional Analysis (GAFA). He is a recipient of the Israel Halperin Prize (2000) and, jointly with Huaxin Lin and Zhuang Niu, the Frontiers of Science Award (2023) at the International Congress of Basic Science.
