Operator Algebras

Group Leader: Huaxin Lin

Huaxin Lin has joined SIMIS in 2024 as a professor. Prior to this, Lin has been a full professor in University of Oregon and also served for East China Normal University. He received his Ph. D. in Purdue University in 1986. His main research field is operator algebras and its applications. Lin became an inaugurate class Fellow of American Mathematical Society in 2013. He was awarded the First Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award in 2005, and (shared with G. Gong and Z. Niu) the Frontiers of Science Award at International Congress of Basic Science in 2023.
