Abstract:
iQuantum groups (iQG) arise from quantum symmetric pairs associated with Satake diagrams, and they provide a suitable framework for generalizing the basic constructions for Drinfeld-Jimbo quantum groups. Bao and I constructed the icanonical basis for iQG and modules, generalizing Lusztig’s approach to canonical basis. As a generalization of KLR 2-quantum groups (and an earlier special case with Bao and Shan), the categorification of quasi-split iQGs is very recently completed joint with Brundan and Webster. This talk is intended to be a gentle introduction to the iQG, idivided powers and categorification, focusing on the rank one cases.
