Abstract: Building upon our prior talk about Lemma 6.5 in Rufus Willett’s Conditional Representation Stability, *-Homomorphisms, and Eta Invariants, this expanded talk now focuses on Section 6.2 of this paper. This discussion will still aim to advance our understanding of whether quasi-representations of the fundamental group of a closed two-dimensional surface can uniformly approximate to genuine representations

About the speaker: Shaocong Xiang is a doctoral candidate at East China Normal University, and his supervisor is Professor Hang Wang. His research interest lies in the field of noncommutative geometry. His work has centered on the Baum-Connes conjecture and the equivariant index theorem.
