An operator algebras seminar at SIMIS: Amenability of C*-dynamical systems

Abstract: Recently (2018~), amenability of C*-dynamics is revisited and there are some drastic progress. I review some of them, notably characterizations, applications, and recipes of interesting examples. Partly a joint work with Narutaka Ozawa.

About the speaker: Professor Yuhei Suzuki is currently an Associate Professor at Hokkaido University. In 2023, he was awarded the Frontiers of Science Awards at the International Congress for Basic Science (Beijing). His research spans operator algebras (in particular, C-algebras), discrete groups, operator algebras of locally compact groups, topological dynamical systems, and amenable C-dynamical systems. He has published numerous articles in prestigious journals including Int. Math. Res. Not., J. reine angew. Math., Math. Ann., and Commun. Math. Phys..
