Geometry of Alexandrov Spaces with Convex Boundary

Abstract:

We give a concise introduction to Alexandrov spaces and then focus on Alexandrov spaces with nonnegative curvature and convex boundary. We derive radius estimates for such spaces and discuss rigidity phenomena that arise when equality occurs. Examples and sketches of the main comparison-geometric techniques used in the proofs will be presented.
