Abstract:
In a paper that joint with Huaxin Lin (published last year), we initiate the study of tracial approximate oscillation zero, which turn out to be a convenient tool to analyze the structure of stable rank one C*-algebras. We showed that, for simple separable C*-algebras with strict comparison, having tracial approximate oscillation zero is equal to having stable rank one. As a byproduct, we showed that for simple C*-algebras, strict comparison and real rank zero imply stable rank one.
In this talk, I will present some new results on stable rank one C*-algebras. I will discuss a stronger version of the surjectivity of the canonical map Gamma, and its connection to tracial approximate oscillation zero and stable rank one. I will also talk about some applications to C*-dynamical systems.
