Abstract: Turbulence in astrophysics governs energy transfer, structure formation, and dynamical evolution across cosmic scales. Characterized by chaotic, multiscale motions and extreme energy cascades, astrophysical turbulence arises in highly compressible, magnetized environments, where it shapes density fluctuations and dissipative processes. Observational and numerical studies reveal how turbulence interacts with gravity, radiation, and magnetic fields, regulating star formation, galactic formation, and stellar evolution. This talk synthesizes foundational concepts and unresolved challenges, highlighting the role of turbulence as a universal mediator of complexity in astrophysical systems.
