An Operator Algebras Seminar at SIMIS：On The 3-Category Related to The Endofunctors of C*-algebras

摘要： We have recently managed to describe the Connes-Higson E-theory in term of homotopy classes of natural transformation between sufficiently nice endofunctor of C*-algebras. Nonetheless, it is often useful not only to know whether two such natural transformations are homotopic, but also to keep track of how they are homotopic. In this talk we shall show that such homotopies in fact form a strict 3-category and discuss how to use the pasting diagrams technique in this setting.

About the speaker: Georgii Makeev is a postdoc at the Reseach Center for Operator algebras (ECNU), his reasearch interests are the Connes-Higson E-theory and coarse geometry.
