Abstract:
In this talk we will explore how space and CFT are emerged from large N limit of the Chern-Simons matrix model. At the level of observables affine Yangian plays an important role for the CS/CFT correspondence. The key ingredients for the correspondence are the construction of edge states by CS matrix model, entanglement renormalization through transition maps of the Hilbert space of N to N+p and harmonic analysis of the fuzzy disk

About Speaker:

Sen Hu is a Professor at USTC. He completed his PhD in Princeton in 1990 under the supervision of John N. Mather and William P. Thurston. He joined USTC in 2001. He is currently the Director of Wu lab in Math of CAS at USTC. Among his research interests are the study of Chern-Simons theory, string compactifications with fluxes, and generalized Calabi-Yau moduli space.
