Symmetries Of Algebraic Manifolds

摘要： In the first 60 min of the 2h lecture (for year-one graduates), we introduce the projective variety, affine variety, morphisms between varieties, and the Néron-Severi group. In the second half of the lecture (for year-two onwards graduates), we introduce the Kawaguchi-Silverman conjecture (KSC) about the equivalence of dynamical degree and arithmetic degree of a surjective endomorphism of a projective variety, and the Zariski dense orbit conjecture (ZDO). Finally, we show the relation between dynamics and the geometry of the underlying variety in terms of the Kodaira dimension.
