This is the first one of a two-talk seminar on the paper “Quantum cohomology of blow-ups” by Hiroshi Iritani. In this talk, I will recall basic materials on ordinary quantum D-module, introduce the Laurent version of quantum D-module in the paper involving extesion of Novikov rings, and explain the statement of the main result (Theorem 5.18).
