摘要:

The Hilbert’s 15th problem is to put Schubert’s enumerative calculus on a rigorous foundation. It had a profound impact on the development of intersection theory and enumerative algebraic geometry. In modern language, the problem is boiled down to compute the multiplicative structure constants of the Schubert classes in the cohomology of the flag varieties. It is a major outstanding open problem in enumerative geometry and combinatorics to give a positive formula or a combinatorial model for these numbers. I will give an introduction of this problem and explain our recent progress. Based on ongoing work with Yibo Gao.
