Alpha’-loop inflation on K3 fibered Calabi-Yau

Abstract:
We present a novel fiber inflationary scenario in Type IIB string compactifications, where a fiber modulus drives inflation via a scalar potential dominated by logarithmic corrections from the so-called alpha’-loop correction. The novel quantum correction terms create a flat potential region, with or without the BHP-conjectured loop correction, enable the slow-roll inflation consistented with current CMB data. Our results highlights how such quantum effects shape viable inflation models and give parameters control of various quantum corrections in the light of swampland conjecture. We also showed how the orientifold Calabi-Yau supporting such construction is construed through computational algebra geometry.
